State Highway 161
Description:
The State Highway 161 Toll Facility is located in the center of the DFW metro area and serves as a major access to DFW Airport. It is approximately 11.5 miles long and will extend from Interstate 20 in the City of Grand Prairie to State Highway 183 in the City of Irving. The segment between State Highway 183 and Interstate 30 opened in 2009. The segment between Interstate 30 to Interstate 20 will open in 2012.
Originally Baez Consulting advised NTTA and RBC Capital Markets in the market valuation negotiations between NTTA and TxDOT. Baez Consulting also supported developing the Investment Traffic and Toll Revenue estimates to support issuing approximately $500 million in revenue bonds. Baez Consulting responsibilities included: travel demand validation, travel demand modeling, toll revenue estimation, due diligence, rating agencies and TIFIA presentations.
