Description:
Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) is formerly known as State Highway 121. The SRT is part of the North Texas Tollway Authority System (NTTAS). The SRT is approximately 26 miles, extending northeasterly from Business 121 near the Dallas/Denton County line to US 75 in Collin County. Some segments are still under construction and are expected to open by 2012.
Baez Consulting supported NTTA in several phases of the acquisition, development and financing of the project. Baez Consulting, as traffic and revenue advisor, was part of the consulting team advising NTTA in the negotiations with TxDOT to lease the project for a fifty-two year period. Baez Consulting participated in rating and insurance agency presentations when NTTA issued $3.4 billion in Bond Anticipation Notes to finance the acquisition of the project.
