Interstate 635 (LBJ Freeway)
Description:
Interstate 635 Managed Lanes (LBJ Express) will feature dramatic improvements to Interstate 635 in Dallas. This innovative project will feature rebuilt main lanes, a continuous frontage road system and 13 miles of new managed lanes. The public-private partnership funding approach leverages $490 million in tax dollars. Construction is expected to begin in early 2011 and be completed by 2016.
Under contract with Cintra and Macquarie, Baez Consulting developed population and employment estimates for the Dallas/Fort Worth Region to be used in developing trip tables to calculate future travel demand and toll potential for the LBJ Managed Lanes.
